Meet Chiara
I have been working as a psychotherapist for 30+ years. However, my professional path is paralleled by my personal journey. Like many of my clients, I have faced challenges of my own—I am a survivor of childhood abuse, sexual abuse and neglect and have wrestled with PTSD, debilitating anxiety, depression and eating issues. Through personal growth including therapy and recovery practices I discovered the power of resilience and the joy of truly living an abudant life. Today, I cherish every moment and embrace life with a deep capacity to love and with much gratitude that I once thought was beyond my reach.

I earned my masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 1995. I specialize in Trauma, PTSD, Eating Disorders and other mental health issues. I received specific training for eating disorders in 1994, was trained in the Welesley Relational Femenist Theory in 1995, and was trained in the Laurel Parnell EMDR method in 2021. I live in San Francisco and 30 years later I still love what I do.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. If you feel ready to take the next step in your journey, I would be honored to support you.
